The Better Bloor project was a 4 month long initiative over the spring and summer of 2007. Better Bloor employed local youth, high school and university students, with assistance and participation by Christie Ossington Neighborhood Centre (hosting organization), B.I.G., DIG IN, community volunteers, and business, residential, artists and police associations. The project fits the passions of its founding artist, Dyan Marie, who uses creative means to vitalize the Bloor and Dupont West neighborhood. The Safer Vital Communities Grant from the Toronto Police Department made this project possible – thank you – with support from the Toronto Arts Council Community Arts Program – JP King, 2007 . bigonbloor.com/betterbloor
